Handgun Skills Integration
Where safe gun handling becomes fluid performance under pressure.
Service Description
Prerequisite: Completion of Session #3 – Handgun Performance Foundations. This course integrates holster work, movement, positional shooting, and defensive application into a cohesive skill set. Students begin combining mechanics learned in prior sessions into efficient, repeatable performance under increasing complexity. This session emphasizes movement discipline, efficiency, and safe gun handling under controlled pressure. Students will work on: • Multi-target engagements and controlled transitions • Movement with purpose (entries, exits, and stability on demand) • Shooting from and around barriers using cover vs. concealment principles • Reload and malfunction management while moving • Positional shooting (kneeling and low-profile positions as applicable) • Shot timer integration for performance tracking This is the stage where individual skills become integrated performance. Equipment & Clothing Requirements Holster-based instruction requires appropriate equipment for safety. Students must bring: • Personal handgun • Quality IWB or OWB holster • Minimum three magazines • At least one magazine pouch with belt attachment (double pouch recommended) • Proper range attire: sturdy belt, pants with functional belt loops capable of supporting a holster, and stable footwear • Shirt or outer garment suitable for ground work (students will be kneeling/prone and working from dirt or gravel) Optional: • Knee pads or similar protective gear If safe and suitable holster equipment is not available, instructor-provided equipment — including firearm, holster, and accessories — will be required. Use of instructor firearms requires DCTT-issued ammunition in accordance with company policy. Students must notify the instructor in advance if they are left-handed to ensure proper equipment configuration. If required equipment is not present at check-in, the session will be converted to the Gear + Ammo Included rate. Recommended Round Count: 350 rounds of 9mm. All prices are per student.
