It is the purchaser’s responsibility to ensure that any firearm shipped to DC Training & Tactics complies with Washington State law prior to shipment.

Waiting Period (Washington State)

Washington State requires a mandatory 10 business-day waiting period for firearm transfers.

The waiting period begins once the required background check and paperwork have been submitted.

Firearms will not be released until:

  • The 10 business-day waiting period has elapsed, and

  • Lawful clearance has been received.

NFA Transfers (Suppressors, Short-Barreled Rifles, etc.)

All NFA transfers are processed through Silencer Shop.

Individuals initiating NFA paperwork must have:

  • A Silencer Shop account

  • An active ATF eForms account

It is extremely important that all personal information entered on your Silencer Shop account and your ATF eForms account matches exactly. Mismatched information may delay your Form 4 processing.

Effective January 1, 2026, the federal transfer tax for suppressors and other NFA items is currently assessed at $0.

NFA registration and ATF approval requirements remain fully in effect.

Average ATF Form 4 approval times vary.

You will be notified by DC Training & Tactics when your NFA item is ready for pickup. At that time:

  • You must appear in person

  • Complete ATF Form 4473

  • Upon lawful clearance, you may take possession the same day

It is strongly recommended that you print and retain copies of your approved Form 4 and remain in compliance with all ATF and NFA documentation requirements.
